Biography
Monica Bradley joined Brite Divinity School in January of 2022 as Director of Admissions.
Monica earned a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School with a certificate in Sexual and Gender Justice, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University. During her time as a student at Brite she served as an Admissions Ambassador, Research Assistant, and Secretary-Treasurer of Brite Black Seminarians. At Brite she was recognized as an outstanding student with five faculty book awards and awarded a Walker Ministerial Scholarship. Monica earned a certificate from Texas Christian University in Women and Gender Studies and was an inductee into the TCU Triota National Women’s Studies Honor Society during her studies at Brite.
As a Member In Discernment Monica is in the ordination process for authorized ministry in the Southern Association of the Southern California Nevada Conference, United Church of Christ. As a minister, she has served as Sabbatical Supply Minister at University City United Church of Christ, San Diego, CA. Assistant Minister for Digital Worship at University Christian Church, Fort Worth, TX. and Student Pastor at New Church, Dallas, TX. Monica’s ministry has focused on social, racial, and LGBTQIA+ justice. Monica is a member of Christian Fellowship Congregational Church San Diego, UCC and continues to serve in ministry there.
Monica was one of the founding members of the Racial Justice Collaborative in the DFW area.
As a supporter and community member in San Diego, CA, Monica served on the Board of Directors for: Stepping Stone of San Diego – Member at Large for United Way CHAD San Diego, Diversionary Theater, and Urban Pride. In her leisure, Monica enjoys special time with her daughter Moriah, traveling, cooking, golfing, and connecting with family and friends.
