Statement on Educational Effectiveness

Brite Divinity School is committed to providing the highest quality graduate theological education. Brite utilizes a variety of tools to assess the effectiveness of its educational programs, including evaluating the degree to which students meet expected learning outcomes for their respective programs, student satisfaction, graduation rates, and placement rates.

Over the past five years Brite students have met or exceeded the faculty's goals for student learning as demonstrated through faculty assessment of students' coursework, final projects, qualifying exams, theses and dissertations. However, in recent years this assessment has uncovered the need to give additional attention to developing skills for effective graduate-level writing. In response, Brite introduced sessions on writing during New Student Orientation and enhanced its ongoing support for writing assistance through the William L. Adams Center for Writing at TCU.

The following tables provide additional information on the effectiveness of Brite's programs based on feedback from Brite's 2021 graduates. Please note that these statistics represent a small sampling of data one might use to judge the effectiveness of Brite's educational programs.
