Ministry Week

Ministry Week is a three-day conference co-sponsored by Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University and University Christian Church held each year in February.

For nine decades, Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University has held a festival of learning, worship, and inspiration called “Ministers Week.” Drawing hundreds of participants annually, the event first so named in 1933 has an even longer history, tracing its roots to the 1888 founding of the Texas Lectureship.

Beginning in 2024, the widely known series of lectures, workshops, and worship services with renowned preachers became known as Ministry Week. Its renaming pointed to Brite’s desire to expand further the annual event’s outreach to participants who don’t fall neatly into professional church workers typically described as “ministers.”
