🚪 Doors and Lock Outs

Your apartment door automatically locks, so please be mindful of your keys when leaving your apartment, even if it is a quick trip down to the laundry room. If you have any issues with your lock or door, please let us know by submitting a repair request (more on repairs and maintenance below). Your ID Card is required for building access.

If you find yourself locked out, please call the on-call member of staff at 817-257-7171. If you do not have your phone, the emergency call box on the front of each building can be used to contact TCU Police, who can assist or contact a member of staff on your behalf. Each resident gets one free after-hours lockout during their time at Leibrock. Subsequent lockouts are billed per the policy in the Housing Handbook.

🚗 Parking

Residents wishing to park in the Leibrock parking lot must register their vehicle to receive a permit via the TCU T2 Parking Portal and with Leibrock Village. The cost of the digital parking permit is set by and paid to TCU Parking. Residents will also receive a physical parking sticker at no cost to help guards identify which vehicles belong in the lot, in addition to using License Plate Recognition (LPR) Technology. The parking stickers must be visible from the roadway to avoid receiving a ticket.

For more information, please check the Housing Handbook or parking.tcu.edu.

🔥 Fire Alarms

The fire alarm system in Leibrock is very safety-conscious! In addition to smoke detectors, there are also heat sensors in the bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens – including one above your stove. Please be mindful of these sensors when drying your hair or when cooking food on the stove. Since they are sensitive to dust, please submit a work request (see below) if one needs cleaning rather than doing so yourself. We recommend you use the vent hood anytime you are cooking on the stovetop and, weather permitting, open a window when preparing foods that are prone to smoke or steam.

When the fire alarm sounds, please secure heat sources in your apartment and open your windows, if it is safe to do so, and exit the building. Residents should gather at the rally point in front of the building for the impromptu community gathering. When TCU Police arrive to determine the cause, please identify yourself if it was something in your apartment that set off the alarm, and follow their instructions. Do not reenter the building until the alarm has been turned off and the all-clear communicated by the responding officers. For more safety procedures, please check the Housing Handbook or publicsafety.tcu.edu.

📬 Mail and Packages

USPS delivers mail to locked mailboxes located near Moore House. You have been issued a key to your apartment’s box. If you receive a smaller package, a key for the parcel locker (located in the bottom right corner) will be placed in your mailbox. Outgoing mail with proper postage can be placed in the Outgoing Mail slot on any of the mailboxes. Please note that all mail needs to include your correct street address and apartment number to ensure delivery.

Larger packages or deliveries from other carriers are delivered to Moore House and accepted by staff during regular business hours or when contacted by the carrier. If staff accepts a package for you, we will record it on the package log, send you an email, and place the package on or near the shelf in the Moore House community room (near the office). Please sign or initial when you pick up your package, especially if you pick up a package for your roommate or family member.

Some delivery services use a geo-location verification system that requires the drivers to deliver packages at specific locations. To help reduce their workload and ensure proper package delivery, you can add “Deliver to mail room” or “Deliver to 2931 Sandage” to your delivery instructions.

🛠️ Maintenance Needs

TCU Facilities addresses all of our repair needs except appliances and laundry machines. This can range from changing out a light bulb in an installed fixture or unclogging a sink to major repairs.

For routine issues, please complete a repair request form, and a staff member will create a work order for the issue during their next scheduled shift.
