United Methodist Students- March 24th Event

March 21, 2011

You are receiving this e-mail because you are on the list of United Methodist students (and perhaps graduates?) of Brite. I want to invite you to a conversation on Thursday, March 24 when Brite will host Rev. Bruce Fenner, the Director of Extension Ministry and Pastoral Care for United Methodists. Rev. Fenner is a member of the Division of Ordained Ministry, our United Methodist Endorsing Agency, in Nashville, Tennessee.

There will be two occasions to hear from, or visit with Rev. Fenner.

1)      He will be in Dr. Marshall’s Ministry of Care class on Thursday morning from 9:40 to 10:45. Rev. Fenner formerly worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons as the Assistant Chaplain Administrator, and prior to that he was a pastor in the Wisconsin Conference. In the Ministry of Care class Rev. Fenner will talk about his experience in the prison chaplaincy system and what he sees as important issues for pastoral care of pastors.

2)      Rev. Fenner will have times during the day (before class and through the early afternoon) for individual appointments with anyone who wants to speak with him about the endorsement process for chaplains and for persons in specialized ministry in the United Methodist Church. Rev. Fenner also has experience and wisdom about many of the issues facing United Methodists, especially as they relate to the Division of Ordained Ministry. You may sign up for a time on Dr. Marshall’s door. You can meet with Rev. Fenner in Dr. Marshall’s office
