Thinking about a Ph.D.?

October 11, 2011

Brite Students,

On Wednesday October 19th from 11:50-12:50 we are hosting a brown bag lunch with first-masters students in Weatherly Hall

The purpose of this very informal event is to provide interested students with the opportunity to meet and discuss with advanced students about further theological education.  At the event, students will sit at a table according to their field of interest (e.g. Hebrew Bible).  They will then be able to ask current Ph.D. students (from SMU, Rice, and Brite) about their experiences in the Ph.D. process.

Even if it is only your first semester about Brite, it is never too early to begin thinking about a Ph.D.  For those who are further along in the process, we also hope to give some practical guidance in submitting a competitive and successful application.  In fact, one of our contributors has been on a Ph.D. admissions committee.

So please join us!
