Theology and Science: A Theology and Science: A Constructive Engagement Constructive EngagementFebruary 2, 2011
Anna Case-Winters Professor of Theology, McCormick Theological Seminary
There is a new day dawning for theology and science as they engage in a lively and productive conversation. Among the questions to be asked are:
1) How do we understand biblical stories of creation in relation to the scientific perspectives on evolution?
2) Does “intelligent design” as a way of thinking about how we combine divine design with evolutionary process rep- resent “good science” or “good theology?” And,
3) How does the scientific picture and the biblical view inspire our understanding of humanity’s place in the created realm?
