Rev. Dr. Rita Nakashima Brock awarded the 2015 Chapman University Albert Schweitzer Award of Excellence

Rev. Dr. Rita Nakashima Brock has received the 2015 Chapman University Albert Schweitzer Award of Excellence in recognition of her extraordinary work on moral injury and recovery through her leadership as Founding Co-Director of Brite Divinity School’s Soul Repair Center at Texas Christian University, as well as for her life of service. Previous recipients include the American Friends Service Committee, Dr. Helen Caldicott and Physicians for Social Responsibility, Norman Cousins, Givat Haviva, Habitat for Humanity, Dr. Linus Pauling, and the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Award Ceremony will be May 22 at the Chapman Baccalaureate and it includes a substantial monetary gift for the work of the Center.
