Faith Communities Welcome the Legislature

The 82nd Texas Legislature convenes on January 11, 2011. Texas Impact is kicking off the session with two special events, and we hope you’ll join us!

At 10:30am, we’ll gather on the South Steps of the Capitol for readings, reflections and prayers from a variety of faith traditions.

At 1:00pm, we’ll reconvene at Austin’s Central Presbyterian Church for legislative training, co-sponsored by the Texas League of Women Voters. The training will include a special presentation on the new community-based immigration program “Breaking Bread and Barriers.”

No reservations are required for either event. Please call 512-472-3903 or email for more information.
