CwPAA conversation with Dr. Patricia Arés, Professor in the School of Psychology, University of Havana. Dr. Arés brings particular expertise in addressing the dynamics of gender, the formative role of culture in shaping the experience of families, and the phenomenon of family violence. Dr. Arés has lectured widely across Latin and South America, North America, and in Europe. Dr. Ares will make opening comments related to the dynamics of gender and family violence in contemporary Cuba and then invite conversation with those attending.
