Join the Brite community Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. for weekly chapel service. Brite and TCU students, faculty, staff, the Fort Worth community, and beyond are welcome to gather to worship. All people are invited to connect with one another, experience God, and be transformed. Students play an active role in providing leadership in worship and are invited to share their unique giftedness with the community. Due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19, this chapel service will be held virtually.
This virtual gathering will provide opportunity to offer each and all a communal welcome and blessing as we embrace the opportunities and challenges of this spring semester. At the same time, this gathering will be influenced by the fact that Thursday, January 27 [the day Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp, was liberated] is Holocaust Memorial Day and by the more recent memory of that frightening hostage-taking event that occurred just over one week ago at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville.
This in mind, long-standing friend of Brite Rabbi Mecklenburger will be with us and will share pertinent reflections as we pledge “Never Again.” We will do this bearing in mind that on the following Tuesday, we will launch Black History Month which points our attention to another gruesome aspect of US and world history that also requires repentance, resistance, and restoration.
