Brite Students to Offer Opening Prayers at Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

Brite Divinity School is a proud participant in the 2015 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Beginning Tuesday, January 20th, a Brite representative will offer the opening prayers before the 7:30 p.m. rodeo for the run of the stock show. See below for a complete schedule and bios of the participants.

Will Brown is a MDiv student in his last semester at Brite Divinity School. He currently serves First Christian Church in Wichita Falls as Intern Associate Minister. Originally from Iowa, Will completed his undergraduate studies in religion and communication at Texas Christian University. He looks forward to serving in the Christian Church (DoC) in ordained ministry.

Dawn Hood-Patterson is a PhD student in Pastoral Theology and Pastoral Care. She works as a Chaplain at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. Dawn is originally from Kansas City, MO but grew up in Bogota, Colombia.

Stephanie “Spiff” Kendell is a first year student at Brite, working on her Master of Divinity degree. She is from California where she was a producer in theatrical marketing before starting her second career in Ministry, where she hopes to make a career in politics with an emphasis in social justice. When home, Spiff loves to ride her Paso Fino, Flip Flop.

Jennifer Dawson is a second year MDiv student seeking ordination with the PC(USA). She and her family reside in McKinney. Jennifer is currently serving as Minister in Training at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Fort Worth.

Rev. Joseph W. Neely Reynolds is a MDiv student and is scheduled to graduate in December 2015. He is currently serving as Local Pastor Valley Mills First United Methodist, Valley Mills, Texas and United Methodist Church Cayote, Texas a 2 point charge.

Katie Besly is a second year MDiv student at Brite. She licensed professional counselor and currently serves as the Executive Director of The Colony Resource Center, a local non-profit organization that helps unemployed and underemployed people find fulfilling and meaningful work that will provide living wages for their families
