Brite Divinity School Annnouces New Vice President of Advancement

Newell Williams, announced today the appointment of Mary Brouillette as Vice President for Advancement.  Ms. Brouillette, formerly a Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Texas at Dallas, assumes her new responsibilities February 15.

“Mary Brouillette brings to her new post more than 18 years of successful experience in fundraising for non-profits as well as extensive experience in marketing and communication for national accounting and law firms and the Dallas Chamber of Commerce,” Dr. Williams said.  “The combination of expertise and skill in both fundraising and marketing are of vital importance as Brite Divinity School moves ahead in its second century of preparing leaders for the church, academy, and public life.”

A Louisiana native, Ms. Brouillette came to Dallas shortly after graduation from Louisiana State University to work with the Dallas Chamber as Manager of Education/Communication.  She was promoted to Manager of Public Relations before leaving the Chamber to become Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Jenkens & Gilchrist, a law firm with 220 attorneys and offices nationwide.  She later moved to KPMG, an international accounting and consulting company, where she led development of marketing strategies for a five-state area.

Ms. Brouillette began her work in higher education fundraising as Director of Development at SMU’s Perkins School of Theology.  She administered the full-range of development programs there including a capital campaign that helped to fund building projects and secured endowment for faculty chairs and student scholarships.  At the University of Texas at Dallas, she created the development programs for two schools and five university-wide programs.
