Advent and Carols

November 29, 2010

Dear Friends,

The Brite community invites you to come and share in our final worship service for the fall semester. This year’s annual Lessons and Carols service focuses on the themes of the Advent season as we prepare to celebrate the coming of Christ. We will sing some of the treasured carols of the faith and hymns that speak to our hearts and minds and souls. We will hear the words of the prophets and evangelists and once again remember and retell the ancient story of God’s people seeking a savior and God coming to us in the Christ Child. Through song and scripture, sermon and sacrament, we will witness to a time when the world shall come to the light of God’s glorious reign of peace.

Come, worship with us as we once again take up that ancient hopeful refrain, “O come, O come, Emmanuel!” The service begins at 11:00 a.m. in Robert Carr Chapel at TCU — all are invited.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Rev. Michael N. Riggs
Director of Chapel
